Installing Upcycle

On Mac

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later · Apple Silicon (M1–M5) only — no Intel

  1. Open the downloaded Upcycle.dmg file.
  2. Drag Upcycle into your Applications folder.
  3. Open Upcycle from Applications. It is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally.
  4. Upcycle opens in free demo mode. Scanning, combo discovery, re-rolls, and tweaking are all available. Saving, exporting, and dragging stems into your DAW stay locked.
  5. To unlock the pro version, click Trial—Click to Load License File in the top right corner, then choose your Upcycle.upcyclekey file. It works offline, with no account or internet connection needed after that.
  6. Upcycle keeps itself up to date. It checks for new versions in the background and shows a prompt with release notes when one is ready, so there is nothing to re-download by hand. You can also check manually from the Upcycle menu, or switch automatic checks off in settings. Your licence file keeps working after every update.

On Windows

Windows 10 or 11 · 64-bit (x64)

  1. Run the downloaded Upcycle-Setup.exe file.
  2. Follow the installer. Upcycle is signed by Aria Labs. Because the Windows version is brand new, Windows may show “Windows protected your PC” at first. If it does, click More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Open Upcycle from the Start menu.
  4. Upcycle opens in free demo mode. Scanning, combo discovery, re-rolls, and tweaking are all available. Saving, exporting, and dragging stems into your DAW stay locked.
